Printmaking Instructor

Arts Collinwood seeks an experienced Printmaking Instructor for ArtPath, a program designed to teach youth in grades 9-12 basic printmaking using simple techniques such as block printing.  The program will take place at the Nan and Miles Kennedy Art Center in Cleveland on Thursday afternoons from 3:30pm-6pm from the end of January until early June, 2012.  The Printmaking Instructor will work in tandem with an Art Program Facilitator to plan the curriculum, implement a program evaluation method, and determine supply needs.  This position requires excellent communication, planning & implementation skills, a thorough knowledge of the printmaking medium and an ability to work with teens in a positive manner.  A Bachelor of Arts Degree is required, and an MFA is preferred.  Arts Collinwood is an equal opportunity employer. Art Program Facilitator

Arts Collinwood seeks an Arts Program Facilitator for ArtPath, a program designed to teach youth in grades 9-12 basic printmaking using simple techniques such as block printing.  The program will take place at the Nan and Miles Kennedy Art Center in Cleveland on Thursday afternoons from 3:30pm-6pm from the end of January until early June, 2012. The Program Facilitator will develop and implement a plan to create a positive classroom environment. They will work in tandem with a Printmaking Instructor to prepare lesson plans, implement evaluation plans, schedule classes and field trips, and create the structure needed to foster productive classroom behavior.  The Facilitator will assist with art projects and art critiques through modeling and reflective group sessions.  Throughout the program, the Facilitator will assist the teens in developing the skills to problem solve, work in a group, and express themselves and work in a constructive manner. Basic knowledge of art education and an understanding of teens in an inner-city environment are preferred.  A Bachelors Degree in Art Education/Therapy, Psychology or Sociology or related experience is required.  A Masters Degree in the pre-mentioned areas or related field is preferred. Cafe Servers & Kitchen Staff Needed at Arts Collinwood Cafe

Arts Collinwood, an eclectic art gallery, art center and Cafe in Cleveland’s North Collinwood neighborhood, has openings for Cafe servers and kitchen staff. Ideally, server applicants will have knowledge in food preparation, barista service, and full bar service.  Training is available if applicant is knowledgeable in most areas, but not all. Kitchen staff is responsible for short order cooking, prep work and maintaining clean kitchen environment.
